14/05/08 Care Company Scoopt £1,500 National Award

A Care company is celebrating scooping the top £1,500 award in a national design contest.

Home From Home Care, which has a string of centres in Lincolnshire, clinched the first prize in the annual Pinders’ Healthcare Design Awards’ specialist care section.

The award was given for the £1 million-plus renovation project at the Old Vicarage in Stallingborough, near Grimsby.

Earlier this year the firm had already been awarded £500 for the same property after being named as a finalist in the contest.

The home cares for residents aged between 18 and 65 who have learning disabilities and complex behavioural support needs.

Paul and Hugo de Savary head up the Home From Home Care team and donated their £500 winnings to Lincolnshire Carers.

Following their latest success, charities which share their values will also benefit.

Home From Home Care also has centres at Fiskerton and Bardney, near Lincoln, and Ruskington and Dorrington, near Sleaford.

Paul and Ann de Savary’s daughter Laura is a resident at Stallingborough.
