MOTORISTS ARE WARNED OF ROAD CLOSURE

A Road will be closed for a fortnight to allow workmen to carry out “essential” resurfacing.

Ferry Road, between Fiskerton and Short Ferry, east of Lincoln, will be closed from Monday, June 2. The work, described by Lincolnshire County Council as essential carriageway maintenance, is expected to be finished within two weeks, depending on the weather.

Diversions will be put in place for motorists with signposts at the roadside. These will pass through Reepham, along the A158 to Wragby and then down the B1202 Bardney Road, and vice-versa.

The Short Ferry bus service will be maintained during the work.

Alan Brown, area highways manager at the county council, said: “We apologise for any inconvenience these repair works will cause and look forward to enabling better travel for all who use the route.”
