A Knitwear manufacturer has been bought out by its management team. Tanya Knitwear supplies garments to high street stores.
The Fiskerton-based manufacturer also re-launched its own brand of knitwear in January last year which has resulted in increased sales and distribution.
The management buy-out has been led by Erica Colver, who said: “Achieving independence from the group is the final step in our strategy to reposition Tanya.
“We have a loyal and experienced workforce which has embraced the change necessary to compete successfully in our industry.
“Our order book is strong and we look forward to further growth.”
Her team includes Fiona Berridge, Doug Bendelow and Nick Shaw.
Tanya Knitwear had been part of Leeds-based Allied Textiles since 1969.
This firm was itself the subject of a management buy-out in 2000.
