Nicky Kirk, of Fiskerton, was named Midwife of the Year at a presentation last week.

The community midwife, who works at The Heath surgery in Bracebridge Heath, had been nominated for the NCT Lincoln The Jules King award by patients for her kind and caring approach to her work.

“I am really proud,” she said.

“Everybody is having a hard time and a little bit of kindness can go a long way when looking after patients.”
