Red Nose Naomi says ‘yes’ to everything

Would you be willing to hug everyone you see, dance through the city Kung Fu-style or do your weekly shopping in a roller-derby outfit? Well, one Lincolnshire woman is.

As part of a fund-raising effort for Red Nose day, mum Naomi Matheson has vowed to say ‘yes’ to any suggestion made, no matter how wacky, over a one-week period.

Starting tomorrow the 22-year-old from Fiskerton is promising to complete as many ridiculous tasks as possible in return for a Comic Relief cash pledge.

And she wants suggestions for the crazy capers to come from Echo readers.

“I wanted to come up with a fundraising idea that would entice people to put some money forward and then I saw the concept in the Jim Carrey movie Yes Man,” said Miss Matheson, who is aiming to raise £200 over the week-long fundraiser.

“I thought it would be a really good idea to have to say ‘yes’ to everything and I’m willing to look silly for it.”

One friend has suggested Miss Matheson don a martial arts outfit and dance through Lincoln city centre to the tune of Everybody is Kung Fu Fighting.

She has also agreed to do her weekly shop in a roller-derby outfit.

During her tasks, former chef Miss Matheson says she will be keeping a video diary and taking photographs to prove she has done everything asked.

People can log onto her Comic Relief website to register ideas, although they must make a pledge for her to carry it out.
