POST OFFICE RAID DENIED

A Man accused of being involved in a £25,000 raid at a village post office has appeared in court.

Mark Palmer, of Charlesworth Street, off Carholme Road, Lincoln, denied aggravated burglary at the post office, in High Street, Fiskerton, east of Lincoln, on July 25.

Palmer (33), who appeared in court yesterday, also entered a plea of not guilty to a charge of taking a Renault Megane car without the owner’s consent on the day of the raid.

He was remanded back into custody and Judge John Machin, sitting at Lincoln Crown Court, adjourned the case for trial.
